Buvette (our favourite breakfast in NY) is a small and busy French-style bistro along Grove Street in the West Village.
Buvette doesn’t take reservations and, as its a very small place, you should turn up early to make sure you get a table. Don’t let that put you off though, their authentic French cuisine and decor are definitely worth the wait – the food here is delicious, a real taste of France in NYC.
They’ve got a simple, but well-rounded bistro menu, including the most delicious Belgian waffles (seriously give them a try!) This is a great spot for any occasion, from a catchup with friends to a romantic date or even a business lunch. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, with a menu changing as the day grows old, so pop in a few times and try their different meals. There are a lot of good brunch options in the West Village, but Buvette is right up there as one of the best!
This place is smart and sophisticated with a rustic French decor – oil paintings and lines of vintage wine adorn the old brick walls, set under low lighting in an intimate atmosphere. They have a large, well-stocked bar serving anything from classic cocktails to vintage French wines. This iconic spot in the West Village is definitely worth a visit if you’re in New York, no matter the hour!
