Corner House is located just at the beginning of the where-shits-happening-street, aka Jalan Kayu Aya. This street, often referred to as Jalan Petitenget (which is the street following Jalan Kayu Aya, Seminyak) is full of charismatic restaurants, fun bars, well-known hotels and quirky cafes.
Corner House is a well-designed cafe with a rustic and industrial vibe. Open for early breakfast to dinner, however, I would definitely recommend popping in during the first half of the day as there are other places in the area where the dinner calories are better spent. With that said, breakfast and lunch are great, and they serve Revolver coffee for you who, just like me, can’t have enough of that black magic. Worth mentioning is that Revolver is the go-to coffee in Bali. Awesome blend of the finest Indonesian beans, and these baristas are doing a mighty fine job in covering those fine beans into equally fine cappuccinos.
Corner House is not a place for those who want to “see and be seen”, however its an awesome place to come and do some work, update your blog, edit your video content and send through those overdue messages to family and friends, assuring them that, yet again, your plane did not crash and your not a part of 9/11 volume 2.. Parents…
Check out the photos to get a good feeling for it yourself. However, I can summarise it into a few lines for you:
- Do go for breakfast and lunch, but more for the vibe and location rather than a taste-bud euphoria.
- Do order the sandwiches, but avoid the salads.
- Do have a coffee, and do have one more.. damn tasty I can tell you!:)
Good luck and enjoy!
