Sexy Fish is a very impressive restaurant. From the divinely presented Asian cuisine to the creatively inventive cocktails, everything about this place screams quality.
The food is Asian with a Japanese focus, serving up the best sushi, seafood and meat cooked on a Robata grill, while the bar holds the world’s second largest collection of Japanese whisky (at around 300 bottles!). The food can be pricey, and the drinks are no cheaper, but you’re paying for a high level of service and presentation. Not to mention the ingredients are some of the finest around. They say you pay for what you get, and that rings true with Sexy Fish.
The bar itself in an impressive work of art, with giant Frank Gehry fish floating overhead, a mesmerising waterfall flowing behind the bottles and Damien Hirst mermaids propping up the bar. In fact, the whole place is filled with fantastic originals from some of the art world’s biggest names.
Their resident DJ spins the decks Wednesday through to Saturday, bringing a real modern vibe in the evenings.
Reservations are required, so make sure you book ahead here if you want the full Sexy Fish experience.
